We roller skated and boogied to the best disco music, raising money and had lots of fun at Groove And Give.
A big thank you to the students in the events management program at Humber College for approaching our fundraising campaign as their charity partner for this fantastic event.
$3100 was raised and will be divided between a scholarship fund for this Humber program and towards programs and services for brain tumour patients at the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

How our funds have been distributed so far
The Adam Fanaki Brain Fund raised over $275,000 to help charities that support brain tumour patients and caregivers.
These are the organizations that have benefited from our financial contributions:
Our mission is to help patients and their caregivers in a personal way - to let them know that they are not alone in this experience.
These are the organizations that have benefited from our financial contributions:
- The Brain Tumour Foundation Of Canada in the creation of a first of its kind mobile app for brain tumour patients and caregivers; continuing to print and distribute Patient and Caregiver Handbooks; run virtual support programs during the pandemic.
- The Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre - a compassion fund has been established for brain tumour patients and caregivers who require financial assistance with items like transportation to medical appointments, meals and other daily necessities.
- St. Michael's Hospital Department of Neurosurgery - towards a Comfort Fund as well as to the 3 Wishes program for those facing financial hardship. The Comfort Fund covers the costs for parking, public transportation, food gift cards and eyeglasses. The 3 Wishes program enables families to recognize the end of life of a loved one.
- Sick Kids Hospital - a large donation was made to the Photo Art Therapy program as well as Sibling and Patient Support programs.
